Waterfalls Chess Club Crowned 2025 Harare Professional Chess League Champions

Waterfalls Chess Club have won the 2025 Harare Professional Chess League title after securing an emphatic 5-1 victory over UZ Chess Club at the Harare Club Hotel in Harare. UZ beat Waterfalls in the first leg.

Waterfalls managed to collect 54 points out of a possible 60 points from 26 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses. Such an amazing run was defining for Waterfalls, who finished 2nd in 2024 behind Chitown Masters and 3rd in 2023.

It was only fitting that they were rewarded with the title after a great show of resilience and discipline throughout the season

The 2025 season marked the end of the Harare Professional Chess League as the league organisers announced that they will be rebranding to the Premier Chess League starting in 2026.
