Prince Chivero of ZB Financial Holdings was crowned champion of the 2026 Vumba Chess Classic in Vumba over the weekend after scoring a perfect game, winning all 7 matches.
Chivero showcased his exceptional skill by defeating notable opponents including James Vhezha, Dr Collen Tongowona, and Brian Dzvetera on his path to victory.
Earlier this year, Prince Chivero finished 1st runner-up at the Bulawayo Corporate Chess Tournament (BCCT), held at Cresta Churchill in April, where Rickie Malaba took the top spot.
