GM Nigel Short visits Zimbabwe
British Grandmaster Nigel Short is in Zimbabwe to have a first-hand appreciation of the Zimbabwe Chess Federation Chess in schools programme.
GM Nigel Short is the current FIDE Director for Chess Development. He is accompanied by FIDE Chess in Education chairperson, Jerry Nash. The high-powered delegation will be in the country for two weeks, during which time they will visit local schools, train coaches as well as host a simultaneous exhibition event. The simultaneous challenge is a fundraising event for the ZCF Chess in Schools programme.
